About FRIENDLY FIRE at The Clerkenwell Theatre
It’s improvisation, Jim, but not as we know it....
Is it a big fat singing experimental fire bird? Is it a slick speedy environmentally friendly plane?? Urgh no its Friendly Fire, Silly Billy’s! And they’re playing at the Clerkenwell Theatre July 2-4th!
Friendly fire is a performing company formed of Actors and non-actors including Singers, Musicians, Dancers, Comics & Match Stick Repair Men and they are gearing up for their first ever all out show after the success of their guest appearance at this years “Make A Wish – Theatre Sports Cup” at the Cockpit Theatre.
Nicknamed the “Hippies” because of their loving, caring, togetherness and fresh, innovative style of improvisation, Friendly Fire made a big impression on their first audience. Said one: “most performers improvise from their heads, those guys improvise from the neck down...”.
Watch them collectively create everything that encompasses a scene – from its soundtrack, emotion, mood, tempo, energy and even the props, oh yeah and not forgetting the characters and story!
Funny, sad, playful, serious, exciting, bold, brave... Friendly Fire is all that. And as if putting up a new production format wasn’t enough, they’re putting up three, one each night:
